Since OPHIR RF opened it doors in 1992, we have worked on perfecting what we do, which is the design, development, and manufacture of broadband and band-specific amplifiers. These amplifiers include satellite amplifiers. These are amplifiers used for uplink/downlink applications when the satellite is over a certain location, providing a "linked" transmission.
OPHIR RF sells satellite amplifiers in three basic configurations: amplifier modules, amplifier subsystems, and amplifier systems. The modules are just the individual amplifiers that you will integrate into your system. You supply the DC voltage and make all the connections; modules do not include heatsinks or fans.
Amplifier subsystems include a power amplifier module and driver module (or modules), with a mounted-on heatsink. We may also integrate fans and power supplies, depending on which options you choose. The system comes to you complete and ready to go. Systems come in four different sizes, with chassis ranging from 3.5 inches to 8.75 inches. Any of our products are available in both broadband and band-specific models. We can modify any of our products--from the module through to the system--to fit the specific needs of your business.
For satellite amplifiers, we offer a few different product models. There is the 4012, the 4028, and the 4029. Each of these has a specific range of frequencies that it covers (the 4012, for example, covers a range from 290-320 MHz). We naturally encourage you to contact us with any or all questions; we're happy to give you the information you need to find the perfect satellite amplifier for your application.
