Since its inception in 1992, OPHIR RF has been an industry leader in the manufacture of broadband amplifier designs. A broadband amplifier is, most simply put, an amplifier that produces a flat response over a wide range of frequencies. OPHIR RF produces broadband amplifiers for a variety of frequencies, including ones made for specific frequencies. Our modules cover a wide range of industries and applications, including military (and Electronic Warfare), government, industrial, university, and research laboratories. In addition to the COTS (Commercially off the Shelf) units we have available, we can also make a unit to fit your specifications.
We carry broadband amplifiers in essentially three configurations: amplifier systems, amplifier modules, and amplifier subsystems. When you purchase an entire system, you get the complete package. Simply plug it into a socket and the unit is ready to go. We can also modify any of our existing systems to match your needs.
An amplifier subsystem, on the other hand, is an integrated solution for jobs outside the normal 19-inch chassis. Adequate cooling is necessary, so all of our amplifier subsystems comes with matched heatsinks. Fans may also be wired in as needed.
Amplifier modules are smaller and are generally part of existing systems--you supply the power and make the connections. These range in frequency from 150kHz to 6.4GHz. Our amplifier modules are often preferred by universities, which use them in laboratory applications. As with all of our broadband amplifiers, these may be customized to fit your project, whatever that may be. With OPHIR RF, you always get top-quality customizable solutions for the best prices.
